Adjustment of license for the establishment of a representative office of foreigners
01. Conditions for application 
Foreign traders are responsible for conducting the procedure to adjust its license of establishment of representative office within 60 days from the date on which the foreign trader
1. Changes its name or its address
2. Changes the head of the representative office
3. Changes the name of the representative office
4. Changes scope of activities of the representative office
5. Changes the location of the representative office within the area of a province or under the control of a Management Board

03. Procedure
Step 1: Prepare a set of the following documents
1. A request for adjusting the license of establishment of the representative office;
2. Documents proving the adjustment
2.1 A copy issued by competent agency proving the change of name or address of the foreign trader (if the foreign trader changes its name or address)
2.2 A document issued by the foreign trader on choosing a new head of the representative office; a copy of passport (for foreigners) or id card (for Vietnamese) of the new head of the representative office; a document proving that the former head of the representative office has paid enough personal income tax until the change happens.
2.3 A copy of a memorandum of understanding or lease of location or document proving the right to exploit, use the location for the representative office; A copy of the new location for the representative office (if the foreign trader decides on changing the representative office’s location). The original copy of the license of the establishment of the office
Step 2: Submit necessary documents to one of the following authority
1. The provincial Department of Trading and Industry (“DPI“) where the office is located; or
2. The management board of the industrial park, the processing zone or the high-tech zone (“Management Board“) where the office is located (if the office is located within these areas)
Step 3: Receive result
Within 5 working days, the DPI or the Management Board will examine the applications, request for supplementation (if any), and adjust the License of the establishment of the office.
